What data we collect and why

Contact forms and enquiries

When you write to us via a form or by email, we process the information you provide, for example your name, email address, company and your message. We use it to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is legitimate interest in being able to answer enquiries, or steps prior to entering into a contract.

Downloading templates and materials

When you order a template or other material via a download form, we process the information you provide, usually your name and email address, in order to send the material to you. We receive a copy of your order by email. The legal basis is legitimate interest in providing what you have requested.

Statistics and advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used and Google Ads to measure our advertising. These services may use cookies and collect information such as IP address, device, browser and which pages you visit. We use them only if you have given your consent in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time.

Cookies

We use Cookiebot to manage your consent to cookies. Necessary cookies are always used. Cookies for statistics and marketing are used only if you accept them. You can change or withdraw your consent via the cookie banner or in your browser settings.

Email and recipients

Email sent from the website and to us is handled via Microsoft 365. The website is hosted by WP Engine. We do not disclose your personal data to anyone other than our providers of these services (data processors) and, in the case of statistics and advertising, Google, if you have consented. We do not sell personal data.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some of our providers, for example Google and Microsoft, may process data outside the EU/EEA. The transfer takes place on the basis of appropriate safeguards under the General Data Protection Regulation, for example the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or a valid adequacy decision.

How long we keep data

We keep data from enquiries and downloads for as long as is needed to handle the matter and a reasonable time afterwards, usually no more than 24 months, unless the law requires longer storage or a customer relationship arises. Data in analytics tools is kept according to the tools’ own settings.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, to have inaccurate data rectified, to have data erased, to restrict or object to the processing, and to request data portability. Where the processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Contact us at info@exceldepartment.se and we will help you.

If you believe that we process your personal data incorrectly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), www.imy.se.

Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version is always available on this page.
