Power BI Consultant
Contact us to speak with a Power BI consultant. We are experts in Microsoft’s ecosystem for data storage, analysis, and visualization. In our projects, we often work with Power BI, Access, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Excel. Power BI is a collective name for Microsoft’s new tools and services for Business Intelligence.

Business Intelligence
BI (Business Intelligence) is a rapidly growing field that has become increasingly important for companies. BI is about transforming raw data into meaningful information that can form the basis for decision-making. BI technologies make it possible to make discoveries and answer questions based on data. The goal is to help users identify and develop new business opportunities.
Microsoft’s Power Tools for BI
Power BI includes the powerful tools listed below. They have been available in Excel since Excel 2010 and Excel 2013 and are now also available in Power BI Desktop.
- Power Query for retrieving data from various sources and preparing it for analysis.
- Power Pivot for creating a model of how data is interconnected.
- Power View for creating interactive graphical reports.
- Power Map for presenting geographical data.
PowerBI.com
PowerBI.com is Microsoft’s cloud-based service for BI. With PowerBI.com, it has become possible to create company reports in the cloud without needing to set up your own server. You can retrieve data from various databases, Excel files, and other services and combine them into flexible and beautiful reports and dashboards. PowerBI.com is adapted for computers, tablets, and mobile phones.
Power BI Desktop
Power BI Desktop is a new desktop product from Microsoft. Power BI Desktop includes the tools Power Query, Power Pivot, Power View, and Power Map. These are BI tools that were previously only available in Excel (and to some extent SQL Server) but are now also available in Power BI Desktop. With Power BI Desktop, companies can create BI solutions using Microsoft’s Power tools without having to go through Excel.
BI Consultant Proficient in Excel
Just like Power BI Desktop, Excel contains the tools Power Query, Power Pivot, Power View, and Power Map. Excel also famously includes pivot tables, formulas, and much other functionality. Depending on whether you want to use all the functionality available in Excel or not, you can choose to use either Power BI Desktop or Excel to create your BI solution.
